Otto Toto Sugiri has been the President Commissioner of FDS since its inception. He coordinates activities for the Board of Commissioners and provides advice and guidance to FDS’ management. Professionally, Toto is a recognized veteran in the Indonesia technology scene, with over four decades of experience as a leader in various software companies.
After his initial career in the banking industry, he established his first venture with a few partners in 1987. The company went on to be the first company in this part of the world to offer Software as a Service for Core Banking and served more than 40 Banking Customers. The company then got acquired by the largest telco provider in Indonesia in 2008. As a pioneer in the industry, he also is known as the founder of the biggest software development talent pool in Southeast Asia at the time. Later, he also founded Indonesia’s first Tier 4 Data Center company in partnership with the world’s largest data center & colocation provider in 2013.
In May 2020, he is appointed as one of the Top 50 Data Centres and Cloud Influencers from across the Asia Pacific by Data Economy. His passion for IT and his eagerness to educate young entrepreneurs also led him to provide mentoring and advisory to many IT start-ups founders in Indonesia.
